Program Goals
The Ultimate goal of the PYS Supervised Apartment
Living Program is to assist young men to develop core
living skills that will ensure self sufficiency. Our
programming promotes an increase academic success,
thus enhancing professional/vocational goals and
employment opportunities. We also assist the youth in:
developing money management skills; obtaining
permanent, affordable and quality housing; developing
support networks with community resources and
services and enhancing daily living skills.

Admission Criteria

  • Juvenile males between the ages of 17 - 21 at time of admission.
  • Determine to have a Full Scale IQ of 70 or higher.
  • Employed or ability to obtain employment. Cognitive ability to participate in developing Individualized Independent Living Treatment Plan.

*Sex offenders will be reviewed individually, and the individual must complete a license sex offender program.

Services Provided
  • Individualized assessment and treatment plans.
  • Coordination of community resources (i.e. public transportation, employment commission, GED preparation etc.).
  • Independent living groups/workshops.
  • Employment Assistance.
  • Ansell-Casey Family Foundation Assessment/ Curriculum.
  • Three phase system to gradually transition youth from structure care to self-sufficiency.
